I adopted my basset hound mix (I believe he's a Bagle!) from Dixie Dogs last year. I had wanted a dog for ages, and when I came across "Roadie" on Petfinder, my heart melted. I put in an application, and was approved. I spent a lot of time asking questions about him, but the information I received, while wonderful, didn't do him justice. He's AMAZING. He almost NEVER barks! He's perfectly housebroken, loves the kids, loves us, loves walks, and loves love in general. He's just such a happy boy. We found out after adopting him that some time before he came up north, he had been shot twice by a BB gun, and both BB's were lodged in him. He had one by his stomach, and one by his spine. I don't know what his life was like before he was rescued, but my goal is to make it a very happy one now. He now goes by the name Bones, and is snoring away on his HUGE bed as I type this. I will ALWAYS adopt from a rescue. These dogs are the BEST dogs, and they deserve a second chance at love and happiness.
